Trying to test femto-bolt on Terry’s main PC (one he used in the studio previously successful captures with Kinect Azure ) but keep getting this error ‘unregistered sensor connected to retry the registration.’ tried all the advice but still wont register? Any ideas how to resolve please ?
I am about to go on holiday in Japan for several weeks. In the meantime issues raised and responses provided will
be from my UAL colleague Chris Follows cc’d above.
Thanks Cory > When I click ‘Register Sensors’ it goes direct to ‘Sensor registration failed’ so no opportunity to access the Register Sensors script or any other options to resolve ?
Glad to hear that the sensors are now registered using Orbbec Viewer.
For future reference, PowerShell script which comes with Depthkit to register the sensors can be found in the folder that Depthkit is installed in (C:\Program Files\Depthkit by default) and is named obsensor_metadata_win10.ps1. You may need to start PowerShell as an administrator and then point it to this script and run it in order for the registration to be successful.
Thanks Cory.
Please could you copy Chris into all correspondence with me while I am on holiday travelling around Japan for most of October.
Kind regards,
Terry
We have a booked session tomorrow but can only get the system (Femto bolt) working on the laptop. On the PC, despite everything being fine before Xmas (when it was last used) the sensors register on DepthKit but not on the operating system. We cannot understand why, despite rigorously following the prescribed steps you gave us (before the session with you we cancelled as was all good) and on documentation.
We used the same sensors on both the laptop and PC.
Thanks for getting back to me.
Not sure what you mean by are all sensors listed? They have all been successfully used in the PC in Dec. There have been no op system updates.
Ps. All attached sensors appear on the list in Depthkit - if that’s what you mean. But when we try steaming or recording (without calibration) they state not registered on the operating system.
@Terence Apologies - Didn’t mean to cutoff my last post. I meant to say to use Orbbec Viewer to confirm that all sensors appear in the dropdown of available sensors to open, that each has the appropriate USB 3.x connection, then start the color and depth streams of each to identify which individual sensors if any are failing to start streaming, and restart- or reset the connection of those if needed.
