Color error with Depthkit Unity Demo on macOS

I managed to get the Depthkit Unity Demo running on macOS Catalina with VR monitoring enabled in a Vive headset via the macOS beta version of SteamVR. Playback is fine, except one of the color channels is missing in the Vive giving everything a blue tone.

Here are some screengrabs:

Unity playback

Headset playback

Unity Version 2019.4.28f1

Any idea what’s going on and how to fix? Thanks!

@DavidLawrence , this is an unusual one indeed. It looks like the color channels are all there, just rearranged, for the Depthkit clips as well as the static objects in the background. To troubleshoot, I recommend the following:

  • Turn off all the Depthkit game objects and see if the issue persists.
  • Alternatively, create a fresh project and see if the color channels look normal in-headset. If they are, then import the Depthkit clips into that project and see if it re-introduces the issue.

If the problem is isolated to only the Depthkit clips, then send an email to support@depthkit.tv so we can look into it further. If the issue affects Unity scenes without Depthkit clips, reach out to Valve/Vive support.
