Is DepthKit compatible with AMD Ryzen and 3rd Gen Threadripper CPUs (Ryzen 7, Ryzen 9, 3960x, 3970x, 3990x, etc.)?
Hi @GopalMetro! Please see our recommended system specifications here and note that if you are using an Azure Kinect, you might need a bit more power for higher resolution captures. Please see Azure Kinect tested computers here.
There are several factors to good performance. What sensor are you using? Feel free to download Depthkit Evaluation to test performance before subscribing.
I am looking for the AMD min spec for a 5 camera capture system. The link to recommended specs is broken in the post above and I don’t see it in the Docs.

A few notes based on what you shared
- We don’t verify Depthkit Studio on AMD processors. We have had some customers report them working, but we can’t offer assurances or compatibility tables for AMD. We strongly recommend using Intel based processors for Depthkit Studio
- If you are looking to capture a full-body 360 volumetric video human subject, we have begun recommending 6 camera configurations over our previous 5-camera configuration. This updated configuration improves face, hand and hair coverage. You can see an example of this on our recent blogpost
